Energy & Vastu Science / FAQ’s

1. What are ‘Shaktivijnana’ and ‘Vastushastra’ (‘Vastu vijnana’)? [Energy and Vastu Sciences]

Shaktivijnana and Vastushastra (Vastu vijnana) [ Energy and Vastu Sciences (Science = Vijnana)] are the Science and Technologies which discuss about the various forms of Cosmic Energy and Vibrational aspects of Brahmanda, as well as the suitable land and constructions for human beings Pindanda who are constituted by the five evolutionary elements called
Panchabhootas” to live in tune with the “Panchabhootas” in this world [Brahmanda] which is constituted by “Panchabhootas” . The Integrated Indigenous knowledge of the Life and the Universe is the Energy Science. One of the applications of this science is “Vastushastrsa”. Here the Science means not just the Modern science, but “Vijnana”. “Vijnana” means “Vishesha jnana” = “Special Knowledge”.

2. What is the use of Shaktivijnana and Vastushastra?

Energy and Vastu Sciences are essential to live in harmony with the Prakruti thus not to go against, and to live the full and balanced “Life” [within the limitations of the present world and living condition]. By the knowledge of these it is possible to reap maximum benefits out of the present energy condition and to minimize the negative influences. This is very fruitful in day today life and also when we consider the full span of life. When we live with awareness of day today life and having a plan for the full life, this is an essential and decisive practical knowledge.

3. What is Vastu?

“Vasati iti Vastuhu” – Vastu is because of/for dwelling. “Vastushastra” is the knowledge which discusses the science and technology of dwelling in this Prakruti [Nature/Cosmos-Earth]. This stream of knowledge has the Indian origin.

4. The Deviated Traditional Texts; The Root Science and Modern Application.

The “Vastu shastra” was developed in multiple folds and directions. But various traditional books talk in different tones. This is because of the requirements and limitations of the time and region during their development. Basically all shastras are found by “Rishis” . Later they are developed by scholars. Most of the scholars probably didn’t have the intuitive and mystic depth. Up to certain stage the development in Vastushastra may have yielded fruits. But later on in the name of development and adaption, the Vastushastra underwent declining phase. Many shastras suffered by the same sickness These are the phases where the Vastushastra deviated away from the Pure Science behind it. Also, these are the phases where the Vastushastra could not adjust itself with the requirement of time, place and people. The class/sect, region and time dependent nature of the various cults/texts of Vastushastra are also usually not considered by the scholars of later time.

When it is said like this some may feel that here we are not following the traditional Vastushastra. But the fact is that The Shastra we follow and talk about is most strongly rooted in the core knowledge of Sages.

It is highly required to go back to the roots of Vastushastra, so that we could understand the basic science behind it. Then we have to develop it according to the requirements. Depending on the regional geographical condition and the Latitudal position of the place, the application of the “Science of Vastu” differs; though the science is a constant one.

Similar conditions can be found in almost all shastras which cover the different flanks and dimensions of life.

5. Goal of Vastu and Energy.

Nothing is wrong in any type of Physical Vastu condition. The first and foremost fact is that whether it suits the purpose and person/institution, also, the region and time is to be understood.

The goal of Vastushastra is to setup suitable energy and vibration in a place for a purpose and person/institution. Here comes the importance of the knowledge of roots; the science behind the “Life” and the “Nature=Prakruti”. Now the Energy Science takes over the responsibility on its shoulders.

Energy science independently covers the sciences of all flanks of life. It interconnects all flanks of life by a common thread. Thus it has the ability to explain everything by standing in a common platform.

6. Other Shastras; Energy and Vastu; The Right Track of Exploration.

The Darshana along with “Veda” “Vedanga” “Shilpa” and “Agama” come to the forefront when we talk about the roots of the science of Energy and Vastu.

My Guruji asked Parama Guruji– “Which is the text that talks about the science behind the Vastushastra? Parama Guruji [a great Yogi and a true Scientist of Indian Traditional knowledge] once pointed his fingers towards “Bhagavadgeeta.” This text is actually a text of “Vedanta Darshana” [Bhagavadgeeta is a part of great text/epic “Mahabharata”], not at all considered as a text of Vastu. Parama Guruji fed Guruji with the essence of Science of Life and Universe along with the taste of application of this science. Thus he put Guruji in right track of exploration and practice. This shows us the inter relationship of various texts of different shastras.

7. The Common Thread and Explorations.

Now, it is clear that all shastras including Darshana though developed in diversified channels, they have got a strong and common thread holding them together. This common thread holds the essence of Science of the “Pindanda” and the “Brahmanda” In this exploration we are able to reach amicably applicable and very fruitful stage. Our strength is very good understanding of the common thread and the application of this basic science. We evolved (still evolving many more) technologies of Vastu and other walks of life. My Guruji started the mission with Vastushastra. Now we succeeded in extending it to most walks of life, since everything is interconnected and interdependent.

A lot of Eastern and Western Occult research scholars [not the Sages who discovered the original science] of ancient and modern era wrote about Occult sciences. Even though most of them are fragments without proper knowledge of basic root, they were useful to us in understanding the Energy Science in a better and modern way.

8. Vedas, Darshanas and other Texts.

“Vedas” are the collection of knowledge about the Universe with respect to Humans which appeared to “Rishis”. Rishis are not considered as writers of Vedas. It is believed that Vedas came into Rishis during Penance when they were at their highest cosmic connective state (or may be when they crossed the limits of mind). Vedas contain words of Rishis which are scaled down to people of lower cosmic connectivity. Vedas are now divided into four- say,

  1. Ric
  2. Yajus
  3. Saama
  4. Atharva.

These are again having different schools.

Six “Vedangas” are shastras which are considered to be supportive knowledge of Vedas, more applicative in nature. They are

      1. Shiksha
      2. Vyakaranam
      3. Chandaha
      4. Niruktam
      5. Jyotisham
      6. Kalpaha.

“Jyotisham” the Astrology with Astronomy developed extensively and independently. It is a very important shastra. It has a very deep base of Energy Science and is very useful to everybody. Kalpashastra consists of some basics of Energy Science. It has got insights of Vastushastra and Shilpashastra. Kalpa has got a close relationship with “Agama”.

Agamas [Tantra] have strong base of Energy Science. Agamas have their mother root in “Kalpa”, “Yoga”, and “Mimamsa darshana” though developed extensively, independently and with multiple faces. The refinement of concept of “Temple” and the Techniques of worship are the evolutions of Agamas.

“Darshanas” are cults or schools of independent thoughts of Indian type of Philosophy which discuss about the micro and macro cosmos having the anchoring point at the “Human being and the Living and Non living world”. The pinpoint is the “Human being”.

The six main Darshanas [Shatdarshana] are

      1. Saankhya
      2. Yoga
      3. Vedaanta
      4. Vaisheshika
      5. Nyaya
      6. Mimaamsa

These Darshanas accept the supremacy of Vedas. They are called as Aastikadarshanas.

There are Darshanas other than the Shat darshana; say, Jaina and Bauddha. Jaina and Bauddha Darshanas are also great Practical Philosophies, but they do not accept the supremacy of Vedas. They are called Naastikadarshanas.

Sankhya, Yoga and Vedanta Darshanas are very important shastras of Energy Science and Vastu. Vaisheshika Darshana with Nyaya [Tarka] Darshana is also important. Mimamasa Darshana has got some views regarding Energy Science.

Yoga darshana or the Yoga shastra is the most important shastra which describes the relationship of the Universe- the Macro cosmos with the scaled down fragment of it; say, the Earth/Place/finally the Living world, especially Humans- the Micro cosmos. Actually it targets the human beings and the science of existence. It talks about the Psychophysical world. It describes the paths to take in ‘self-control’ [of course, “Self” is also defined and discussed]. Yoga shastra has got a very close relationship with Agama, Jyotishya and Vastu. Yoga shastra is an independently developed Darshana having scientific, practical and philosophical approach.

When you consider the integrated knowledge of Life and Universe, none of the shastras are independent. In this context the modern sciences also come to the forefront, though they have their own limitations of perception. Every shastra limits its perception in order to focus on certain goal. Thus finding the strong common thread of all shastras is essential to integrate every shastra including Modern Sciences is highly important. Our exploration is focused on this and development of solution technologies. We are able to reach certain very good fruitful stage now.

9. Brahmanda, Pindanda and Inward/Outward Exploration

“Brahmanda” is the whole Universe. It is not just the physical world that we see; it is the whole Universe having every dimension. Every Dimension of the world is not explored by humans. It is not necessary; and thus Brahmanda doesn’t open up completely to humans. Humans explore Brahmanda in two directions. One is outward exploration [Bahirmukhashodhana] and another is inward exploration [Antarmukhashodhana].

Outward exploration cannot be carried out after certain stage because; it is limited to our senses and the general imaginative and analytical capacity. Metaphysics, Social sciences, etc, Modern scientific thoughts- theories- applied sciences completely fall in to this category.

The Inward exploration is exploring beyond all limits and reaching the Ultimate truth. This truth may be limited to the maximum possible perception level of human being. Any way; The Brahmanda is understood by the maximum possible perception level of human being by the way of inward exploration. This is the ultimate truth of the Universe attainable by the humans. Vedas, Darshanas etc are the records of the inward exploration.

“Pindanda” is the scaled down entity of “Brahmanda”. The living human is called “Pindanda”. The Pindanda consists of everything that “Brahmanda” has. Until and unless the “Pindanda” understands, experiences, involves, and reaches the highest level of perception; there will not be transformation of realization of Pindanda to Brahmanda. Till the last stage of perception there will be duality. Until that stage duality is true. Each and every stage of perception what we see, understand are true in that stage only. Even in the outward exploration, in Physics;

Inertial Frame

Quantum Physics

Schrodinger Equation

Theory of Relativity

Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle

etc suggest us the similarities. As already said; the outward exploration has got a limited perception level even after using the lever called “Mathematics”.

Again, we should know that the findings of Metaphysics need not be a physical reality with respect to humans. But the findings of inward explorations are realities limited to humans covering his inner and related outer world.

10. Panchabhootas.

“Panchabhootas” are the evolutionary elements of the world- the Brahmanda which evolved to the present form with respect to humans. The human being or the Pindanda is also constituted by the Panchabhootas. They are

        1. The “Space element” or the “Akasha”,
        2. The “Air element” or the “Vayu”,
        3. The “Fire element” or the “Agni”,
        4. The “Water element” or the “Jala”,
        5. The “Earth element” or the “Pruthvi”.

These may be called as Evolutionary elements; because, “Vayu” is evolved from “Akasha” and “Vayu” has got Akasha in it; “Agni” is evolved from “Vayu” and “Agni” has got “Akasha” and “Vayu” in it; “Jala” is evolved from “Agni” and has all the previous elements in it; finally, “Pruthvi” or “Bhoomi” is evolved from “Jala” and has all other elements in it.

11. Shiva-Shakti and Energy Science.

The system “Brahmanda” has the “Ultimate Basic Truth in pure form” called “Shiva” (it is also the Consciousness of Brahmanda) and the propagation of the world is because of “Shakti”, or the whole and pure Cosmic Energy. This Shakti associates in different forms and transforms into different forms with different conscious levels of Shiva. It gives different Vibrations when it interacts with Pindanda, the human being. Though Pindanda is a part of Brahmanda; we, humans should know the relationship of Pindanda with Brahmanda. Again, what we actually know about Brahmanda is not absolute, but, it is the knowledge of Brahmanda with respect to Pindanda.

The “Energy Science” is nothing but the knowledge of the forms and works of the Shakti inside Pindanda and its relationship with Brahmanda; the external energy which interacts with humans/Living objects.

12. Kosha, Chakra, Nadi.

When a Pindanda is formed, that living system consists of five Cocoonary levels (covers) or Koshas one inclusive of another in order. But every Kosha has independent existence. They are

      1. Annamaya Kosha
      2. Pranamaya Kosha
      3. Manomaya Kosha
      4. Vijnanamaya Kosha
      5. Anandamaya Kosha.

Annamaya Kosha is the most basic level of the living system; that is the physical body which is formed because of “Anna”-The part of essence of food. Pranamaya Kosha is the one which is the body of “Prana”- the energy of life. Manomaya Kosha is the one which is the body of “Manas”- the mind- the consciousness. Vijnanamaya Kosha is the one which may be called as super mind above the normal Manas. It is the body which connects to the Consciousness of Brahmanda. It has the power to totally control the “Shakti”.

Anandamaya Kosha is the one where the Shakti unites with Shiva (also the Consciousness of Brahmanda). Here the Pindanda itself a Brahmanda ; that is what Pindanda realizes.

Annamaya Kosha merges with Pranamaya Kosha; Pranamaya with Manomaya and so on. But Manomaya is the general limiting Kosha. It is responsible for the Individuality, the ego of separation from one another. Manomaya Kosha separates every human from the Universe. Thus, this micro cosmos feels the separation from macro cosmos. This limiting Kosha probably works in the most subtle portion of the living world say, the plants and micro organisms. This also may be true in Non-Living world.

Humans are probably the most evolved living entity in earth; because, as far as we know, only human being can lift his own Conscious level up to Anandamaya Kosha. He can transform and merge himself with the Brahmanda without leaving Pindanda (Jeevanmukta). His Conscious totally merges with the Conscious of the Universe (Shiva). At each stage though the conscious of Pindanda reaches the different levels, The Brahmanda need not reveal every detail of the secrets. But it reveals everything that is required and meant for that entity. This is true for outward exploration also.

Chakras are representatives of certain factors of the Universe; controlling, interconnecting and interrelating nodal centres of the living (Human) system. The network of connection, interrelation and control is called Nadi system. No physical existences of these are traceable. There is one main Nadi called “Sushumna”. Then the next important Nadis are

      1. Ida
      2. Pingala.

Then there are thousands of Nadis functioning in the system. It is said that there are total 720 main streams and also said that there are 72,000 Nadis. There are 6+1 main Chakras. The group of six Chakras is called “Shatchakra”. They are

    1. “Mooladhara Chakra “is situated near the starting point of backbone, in between anus and genitals.
    2. “Swadhishtana Chakra” is situated above genitals and below naval.
    3. “Manipoora Chakra” is found near naval.
    4. “Anahata Chakra” is found near heart.
    5. “Vishuddhi Chakra” is at throat.
    6. “Ajna Chakra” is at the middle of two eyebrows.

Finally the Seventh “Sahasrara Chakra” is at just above the top of the head.

Sahasrara Chakra is the Macro cosmic connecting node with Micro cosmos. This is the Chakra where the Shakti unites with Shiva. This is the chakra of realization of Micro cosmos (Pindanda) as Macro cosmos (Brahmanda).

The clutch of “Manas” (Mind) is at Ajna Chakra. The evolutionary elements- the Panchabhootas are represented and controlled by Chakras as follows.

        1. Akasha (Space) at Vishuddhi,
        2. Vayu (Air) at Anahata,
        3. Agni (Fire) at Manipoora,
        4. Jala (Water) at Swadhishtana,
        5. Pruthvi (Earth) at Mooladhara.

The evolution of Panchabhoota is already described earlier. From Sahasrara to Mooladhara the evolution or creation of living entity by the Universe takes place. The creation of the Universe is also by the similar process. That is why it is described in the Fifteenth Chapter of the Bhagavadgeeta as an “Ashwattha tree “with its roots upward and braches downward (ūrdhva-mūlamadhaḥ-śākhamaśvatthaṁprāhuravyayam | chandāṁsiyasyaparṇāniyastaṁvedasaveda-vit||). This is “Srishti” (Creation). The opposite is “Samhara” (Dissolution).

13. How does Vastu work On Us or On a Unit/System? Is There Solutions?

We know that there is a relationship between external and internal world. This is the working factor in Vastu. Since we are not independent or a unit/system is not independent, there is influence of the external world (the Macro) on the unit/system or on us (the Micro). There is influence of the place on the unit/system. Specifically there is direct influence on individuals. The interaction of the place and followed constructions on the unit/system is described in Energy based Vastushastra. By applying it we can control, tune, reorient, and harness the external influence on internal unit/system. We can harness the natural energy and vibration of the place. If there is anything that is not favourable, we can control, modify, and reorient them for the existing unit/system. For this we need to apply the Vastushastra and the alternative solution methods both based on Energy science. It should be noted that there are powerful alternative solution methods for harmful Vastu conditions.

The 360° of directions of a place is considered in Vastu. They are usually grouped into eight and are called “Ashtadik” (eight directions). The nature and influence of each direction in a place is different. Each direction influences on the micro unit/system differently.

The nature and influence depends on

        1. The nature of natural topography [Bhoo vastu]
        2. The making/layout of site and sub-buildings [Kshetra vastu]
        3. The main construction/building in the site [Shala vastu]

The Panchabhautik Energy and Vibrations [Energy and Vibration depending on Panchabhootas] of these three categories influence the Panchabhautik Energy and Vibrations of the Unit/system or of the individual [micro]. Every moment the external factors influence on us. Vastu factor is a stable influence. Since almost all of the Vastu factors can be controlled; it is always highly fruitful to that extent if we adopt the Vastushastra and Solutions based on Energy science. Though the Vastu condition of the place is not the only factor of influence, it is the major section of life that can be controlled by us. By this we can reduce the ill effects and can boost the positive influences. A good and suitable Vastu always supports the tackling of other non-vastu sections of bad influences and boosting of good influences.

14. How much is the influence of Vastu on the unit/system/us? What are other major sections? Why I insist on Vastu and Energies of place? Is it most important?

In general we may say that

        1. One third section of the whole life is influenced by Vastu and other energies and vibrations present on the place of anchor.
        2. One third is the influence of the previous births or of the cosmic definition which is indicated in the horoscope.
        3. One third is the present “Karma” (work) – “Prayatna” (effort), energy interactions due to the interactions with other people, nature of work and many more.

This percentage of division has actually no absolute meaning, because, a major flaw in any one section can totally harm; and has the ability to influence and control other sections also (both Positively and Negatively).

The part that can be controlled maximum and utilised by us is “Vastu and Energy condition of the place”. Note that every moment we are influenced either by the residence or work place. It is the stable influence. Vastu has the ability to do good or bad to your mind, money and everything. A wise person will always tune it positively for his requirements. That is why I strongly suggest putting effort to keep the Vastu and Energy in good and suitable shape. Generally the other parts can be controlled and utilised to lesser extent and with more difficulties.

15. What are the other Non-Vastu Energy and Vibrational Influences?

        1. The natural energies of the place influence on unit/system/us. Different types of energy and Vibrational concentrations and track flows are common. The Naga, many other Satvika, Rajasika and Tamasika energies fall in to this category. Temples/Places of worship are found at many energy centres in India. – Usually they are identified and worshipped (programmed) in India, rarely in other parts of the world. Some of the energies are controlled and utilised by the technology of worship mainly in India and also in many other parts of world. There are many more energy patterns that are influential; say, earth’s magnetic field, valley effect, cave effect, water flow effect, tower track, curry grid, etc. There are many other technologies to control and to utilise all these energies.
        2. There are many useful energies and vibrations concentrated by the human mind. Some are concentrated by human mind for the sake of worship and thus for overall development. Many others are not concentrated, but are accumulated widely by the human mind. Some of them are – All type of artificially concentrated energies of worship for constructive purpose and all type of positive thought waves etc. The other side of the coin is harmful. The energies and vibrations accumulated by the human mind which are harmful may present in the place. Some of them are – “Preta”, “Rakshas”, Energies of witchcraft, and all type of negative thought waves etc.
        3. Every non-human living matter [food, organisms, plants, animals etc] and non living [all type of non organic materials] matter has its own energy and vibration. The relationship and interactions with these objects influence on the unit/system/us.
        4. The energy and vibration behind human relations and interactions influence unit/system/us.
        5. The energy and vibration behind nature of work, effort [both physical and mental] etc we do has its own influence on us.
        6. The energy and vibration behind common/universal natural phenomenon like “Season”, earth quake, heat, cold etc; the cosmic/celestial influences also interact and rule.
        7. The energy and vibration behind individual influence of the cosmos which may be understood by the Indian traditional horoscope of the person and by “Prashnamarga.” Many other methods also reveal the facts of/and for an individual.
        1. As a crown for all the above said is the Individual “Mind”: the thought, the attitude, “Guna” [Satva, Raja and Tama], the stability etc. are very important. The one basic science of mind with energy is that “Energy follows thought”. The other side is that “the thought vindicate the energy and vibration”. The stability of thought, subject of thought etc are the other ruling factors. The above said factors [from A to H] can be re-sorted into three; say,

              1. Bhautika [Aadhibhautika],
              2. Daivika [Aadhidaivika],
              3. Aatmika [Aadhyaatmika].

“Shanti” [Total Devine – Peace, harmony, Saturation, Satisfaction] in all these sections is always desired. To achieve the integrity of wellness in life, all these sections should be in good shape and shanti.

16. The complete understanding of life and adoption of science.

In totality the overall influencing, controlling and guiding energy and vibration is the resultant of the above said eight categories [A to H] and Vastu. The true understanding of all these factors and their inter relationship- the root of science along with suitable adoption yield the fruit.

17. What should a consultant do?

A consultant should understand the above said things. He should guide others considering the limitations and requirements of the client.

When a consultant takes up a case he should know all the Energy relationships.

Nothing is wrong in any physical condition of Vastu. The only factor is that how it induces the system of the Individual/Institution and how is he/they are transforming the energy and vibration. It is very important to know to whom the suggestions and the solution are meant for.

Many of you may have noticed that the traditional Agama based Vastu books talk about the directions [/Ashtadik] and Chaturvarnas, Yoni [/Ayadi] and Chaturvarnas , Yoni etc. So, “Guna- Karma” of the person/institution is very important. Every evolutionary element [Panchabhootas] has got its own type of effect on every direction, but the effect on humans differs accordingly.

Sometimes a Vastu suitable for the profession doesn’t suit the person. In such cases it is tricky; here the knowledge of Energy science and application of it is very important. For e.g.-

      1. In restaurants [hotel] Agnitatva [Fire element] is very important. If the owner does not have enough Jalatatva [Water element] then he may have to face a lot of problems. It is possible to solve this situation.
      2. Consider that the door of a house is at southwest. If the house has it’s living depending on a person of the house working in a foreign country, then you cannot close it; also, many types of solutions will take away the living. The selection of the proper solution is very important.

If required, the consultant should study the individual energy condition of the person and suggest suitable solutions and should perform suitable solutions. The suitability of the client’s energy condition with the purpose under consideration should match.

A consultant should not cease to be just a Vastu expert or just an astrologer, he should be a Complete Energy Scientist, Energy Engineer, and Planner. If not he may harm the client.

18. The Ultimate Reality: Shri Ramana Maharishi said

“Though the world and consciousness emerge and disappear together, the world shines or is perceived only through consciousness. That source wherein both these arise and disappear, and which itself neither appears nor disappears, is the perfect Reality.
